Mt Bold Inclinator Project

The project was delivered under an ‘Early Contractor Involvement’ (ECI) delivery model and involved the design and construction of a personnel access system to the lower valve chamber at the Mt Bold Reservoir Dam.

ECI services including options analysis, design and costing of a suitable access system
Design of a monorail personnel access lift fixed to the existing dam wall at 36 degree slope angle
Fabrication, installation and commissioning of the new monorail lift (inclinator)
Fabrication and installation of upper and lower access platforms
Lighting upgrades to platforms

Safety in Design considerations for access, maintenance and personnel safety and recovery
Construction to take place on steep batter – working at height safety controls
Geometric analysis for fixing of the structure to the existing dam wall – 3D analysis
