Challenges

  1. Environmental Sensitivity. Due to the presence of the endangered Hooded Plover, this environmentally sensitive location required careful planning and strict adherence to our Environmental Policy. Our team ensured that all activities were carefully monitored and adjusted to protect the local habitat.
  2. Sand Dune Dynamics. The shifting nature of the sand dunes presented a unique challenge. We had to plan meticulously to prevent the dunes from encroaching onto an already established platform. This involved continuous monitoring and maintenance to ensure the stability and integrity of the site.
  3. Corrosive Environment. Working within a highly corrosive environment, the steel coatings demanded precise planning to minimise on-site changes. Ensuring documentation and fabrication accuracy in the workshop was critical to avoid complications and ensure the longevity of the of the structures.
