Taking a look back at a rewarding 2022.

As we kick off 2023, we reflect on the year that was and to track our targets set at the beggining of the year.

The beginning of 2022 started with a commitment to increasing and developing our resources.

GROWTH & DEVELOPMENT

As we continue to establish ourselves in both the Building and Civil construction sectors in SA, we need to maintain a continued focus on the growth and development of the Blubuilt family. In a climate where finding and attracting the right candidate remains difficult, we have managed to add and retain when most couldn’t.

We have welcomed Nat, Henry, Lachy & George in CA roles as some continue to finish their studies. We have added Brayden (Site Supervisor), Lachlan (Site Supervisor), Paul (Site Supervisor), Martin (Project Manager) & Stephen (Project Manager) to the delivery team and most importantly Nikki has come onboard as a finance administrator.

In order to grow as a business and in lieu of the continuing ardeous task of recruiting, we must allow our employees to grow. Over 13% of our staff are currently completing some form of education or personel development which include:

  • Undergraduate degrees
  • Certificate III’s & IV’s
  • Trade apprenticeships

We all know the difficulties of trying to combine study, work and family life so we take this opportunity to thank you for your continued efforts.

What is a good work environment?

A good work environment is a place which challenges you, allows you some freedom and autonomy to make your own decisions, but ultimately allows you to grow.

2022 has seen a number of promotions and people step into new and more challenging roles.

As two of our longest serving employees David & Ryan have worked tirelessly and selflessly over that period and have recently been rewarded with promotions to Senior Project Managers.

With the continued growth of Blubuilt the need to bolster the operations side of the business has become integral. After overseeing the QSE management systems as our Systems Managers for nearly 5 years Stu takes on the Operation Managers role. Nick, for many years has shouldered a huge estimating load and has always put the company first. His outstanding work ethic and selfless nature see’s himself promoted to Senior Estimator.

Congratulations to all its thoroughly deserved.

Additionally, as a product of our own success, and the continued difficulties to add resources to our team, there has been a necessity to rely on those from within. Often people are required to perform way beyond their experience and they continue to perform and get the job done.
