We were engaged to complete the refurbishment of Level 1 of Building 1C and 1D at Avenues College. The works included demolition of the existing, aged infrastructure, and complete
refurbishment of the spaces to provide new learning areas for the staff and students.

The works included:

• Demolition works, including asbestos removal
• Structural steel and metalwork
• Internal ceilings and wall linings
• Aluminium windows, doors and louvres
• Doors and hardware
• Carpentry, joinery and lockers
• Floor linings
• Painting
• Acoustic linings, pinboards, and whiteboards
• Electrical, fire, and hydraulic services
• Landscaping, including internal plants.

The works were undertaken in an operational school, which provided logistical challenges and it was important to minimise disruptions for students and staff. A detailed communication
plan with all stakeholders was required to minimise disruptions caused with major infrastructure shutdowns for works.
