Hallett Cove Coastal Walkway Bridges

Construction of two new 45m suspension bridges and coastal walkways in Hallett Cove, to provide safer access along the coast. We were engaged on an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) basis to deliver the project, aimed at improving accessibility, safety, and aesthetic appeal for residents and visitors. This project comprised:

  • Earthworks
  • Demolition of existing boardwalk, cliff face, and roads/kerbing
  • Construction of foundations for bridge abutments, portals and landings, boardwalk, and retaining walls
  • Installation of two suspension bridges, four elevated boardwalks with lookout landings, and remediation of existing boardwalk and batters
  • Landscaping adjacent to the path with jute mesh, coir logs, hydroseeding, mulch, and nearly 6000 plants
  • Safety and environmental protection, including stainless-steel wire fencing, culverts, side entry pits, rock dams, and silt management installations.
