Murray Bridge Wastewater Treatment Plant Buildings

Building and civil works for three new buildings as part of the state’s $52M wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) upgrade at Murray Bridge. We were engaged to undertake the design and construct of an administration building and switch room within the WWTP site at Brinkley. Outside the main site, we were responsible for the construction of Pump Station 33.

We were engaged to undertake all civil and building works for the project including:

  • Construction and fit out of the precast concrete switch room and pump station buildings
  • Construction and fit out of the transportable administration building
  • Structural steel framework with metal roof cladding
  • Mechanical and electrical services installation and commissioning
  • Installation of new services conduits
  • Construction of reinforced concrete services ducts.

The project posed many challenges, including the management of subcontractors and works across multiple sites, and working within the stringent management systems of a Tier 1 contractor. The switch room building was also on the client’s critical path, and therefore we prioritised its completion.
