Seacliff Amenities Building

We were engaged to undertkae construction of a new beachside amenities block, with accessible toilet facilities, external showers & drinking fountains. The project comprised replacement of the existing toilets with a modern amenities building and improved beach access. The new building features five unisex toilets, a disability-accessible toilet and shower, outdoor public shower
area, and hand washing station. The project also included upgrading the beach ramp to enhance access for pedestrians and surf club vehicles.

The works included:

  • Demolition, earthworks and building foundations
  • Decking and streetscape works
  • Retaining walls and beach access ramps
  • Widening and extending beach access ramps
  • External concrete seating and drink trough
  • Structural steel framing
  • Feature timber cladding
  • Roofing and skylights
  • Electrical and hydraulic services
  • Internal wall framing and linings
  • Ceramic tiling
  • Painting
  • External wet-lay paving
  • New soft landscaping
  • New kerb line to Esplanade
  • Installation of public shower artwork.

The new facility is more than just a building, it’s a functional piece of art. The new amenities facility sits seamlessly in the surrounding environment while creating a comfortable space for the general public to use.
